The Gray Wedding
Oh my goodness, where to begin with this wedding. Angie and I went to daycare together as kids and we always kept in touch.. especially when I got my first camera. She was my very first model and has always been down to shoot whenever I needed her. Angie and Dustin have been together for over four years and when he finally proposed, we all sighed "FINALLYYYY" -- just kidding Dustin ;) It also needs to be added that he proposed by writing "Marry Me?" on a pizza (picture to the left), how perfect? When Angie emailed me asking me to shoot her wedding, I was so extremely nervous to say yes because she is friends with some super talented photographers. I am still very honored and humbled to have been a big part of their big day!
As we began the day, Angie asked for a mini-bridal-boudoir session and it turned out amazing... (girl, you seriously need to model) Every woman should have a boudoir session at least once because let's face it... who doesn't want to feel completely sexy?! After she finished getting ready, we headed up to the Chateau Morrisette for her first look and portraits. On the way back, we found the most beautiful flower field and I just begged them to stop and take pictures. They are awesome, so of course they agreed, but when I asked them both to LAY DOWN in a field of daisies, I was so shocked when they agreed again! Guys, when you trust your photographer... magic awaits. The Grays' were married in the backyard of a beautiful family home in Floyd, VA. The weather threatened storms and we even saw a few lightning strikes but we never felt one drop of rain but ended up with the most incredible sunset I have ever seen. The ENTIRE sky was orange, then pink, then purple, for about two hours. I have never seen anything like it. The night was so full of friends, family, and love, and I really hope I captured just a fraction of it.
Angie & Dustin:
Thank you so so so much for letting me be at your side on such a beautiful day. It was easily one of the best weddings I have been to and that was mainly because of you guys. You were both so relaxed, fun, and literally up for anything. I cannot wait to see your future because it's going to be just as badass as you two.
