J'Aimee and John contacted me a few months ago and were looking for a photographer for their elopement in Norfolk. I had already reached my capacity for weddings this year but I was available on their date and an elopement was something that I haven't photographed yet, so I couldn't say no and I am SO glad I didn't.
These two are so full of life and laughter, the entire day was a cake walk. I never say that about weddings because there's always something that comes up or that you have to deal with. Not only was the weather perfect (albeit a little hot) it was sunny, blue skies, and we had a timeline that allowed for SO MANYYYY portraits! I was in heaven. I need to do more elopements....
We started at the hotel where the group was getting ready and then moved to another location for portraits and it couldn't have worked out any better! We found plenty of shade in the hot August heat but you'd never know how hot John and J'Aimee were, not from their pictures at least! We then headed to Starbucks (because who doesn't love Starbucks enough to go in their wedding attire?) and onward to Norfolk Botanical Garden.
Their ceremony was so intimate and personal that it really made me re-think everything I knew about big weddings. They exchanged vows and then had their first dance in front of their closest family and friends.
J'Aimee & John: Thank you so much for allowing me to be one extra witness to your incredibly beautiful day. You two are so perfect for each other and I can't wait to see where your future takes you. Never lose your sense of humor either! ; )
