One of my favorite movies is Sweet Home Alabama (bare with me, this is relevant) - I've always loved that movie and it basically makes me a soppy mop every time I watch it. You know the ending scene where it's raining and storming but they both realized that they're so in love and then comes the epic line "So why do you wanna marry me anyway?" "So I can kiss you anytime I want." (Here's a link for a refresher) Well Alicia and Matt had one of these moments during their ceremony. While the rain held off just long enough to get vows read and rings exchanged, the biggest crack of thunder ripped across the sky at the EXACT moment they shared their first kiss. It. was. epic. I will remember that moment for the rest of my life, even if it wasn't my own wedding. It was so special and while the rain did come back and put an actual damper on things, that thunderous start to their marriage was just first of many "bangs" that night.
After a BEAUTIFUL rain-free evening of dancing, cake cutting, and a beautiful rendition of "Friends in Low Places" by many beer infused guests, the night ended with a massive fireworks display. We're talking 4 feet tall on either side and a few other surprises that I probably shouldn't be writing about on my public blog ;) See for yourself below!
Alicia + Matt, thank you SO much for inviting me to be a part of your special day. I'm so glad I was able to be there despite both of us being realllllllllly far apart and even moving! You two are so perfect together and after 8 years, I'm so glad I was able to capture the moment that you finally start this forever chapter!
